Luau Kalamaku

Luau Kalamaku takes place at the historic Kilohana Plantation near Lihue. Experience a traditional Hawaiian luau that features twice as man dancers than any other Kauai luau. Luau Kalamaku has also been named "Best Luau Show" by Lonely Planet.
Prior to the luau buffet dinner, guests are invited to watch or participate in island arts & crafts, watch cultural presentations and the traditional imu ceremony, during which the roast pig is removed from the earthen oven. The activities are followed by the big luau feast, which features a wide variety of delicacies (see menu below).

After dinner, enjoy the exciting Polynesian show that pays tribute to the ancient navigators who sailed across the Pacific and ultimately arrived in Hawaii. Watch talented performers bring the history and beauty of Hawaii to life with music and dances.

Please note: Luau Kalamaku also offers a Show Only option and a Premium Gold Seating option. The Show Only option has a 7 pm check-in in time for the luau show and includes any one beverage. The Premium Gold Seating option gets you seating in the front stage premium seating area.

Train ride: This is an optional activity that takes place before the luau dinner. Enjoy a train ride through the 105 acres of the plantation. The train takes you by historic plantation homes and through a low land forest and taro, pineapple and sugarcane fields. There will be a stop to fee the plantation’s herd of wild pigs, sheep and goats. You will also get to see their horses, cattle, clydesdales and donkeys.
